Originally part of the renowned Book of Flower Studies created in Tours around 1510 to 1515, this artwork captures the delicate beauty of nature with remarkable precision. The detailed depiction showcases not only the flowering plant with its root system, leaves, and flowers, but also intricately rendered butterflies and insects against a plain, light background, bringing the vibrant ecosystem of spring to life.
